Walt Disney World to Start Phased Re-Opening on July 11
The Governor of Florida to accept the proposal of the reopening of Disney World on July 11.
Here is what the proposal will include:
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom to open on July 11
Hollywood Studios and Epcot to open on July 15
Employees and guests will be required to wear face coverings and undergo temperature screenings before entering the parks.
Disney will reduce capacity at the parks and the resort will temporarily suspend parades, fireworks and other events that create crowds.
The resort will also enable cashless transactions by expanding contactless payments.
Disney will also increase the number of available hand-sanitizing stations.
In the proposal, there will be new regulations coming out soon on having to social distance throughout the parks. It is also mentioned that the parks will have to set check in times for guests to visit. There is potential that you will be on site at a Disney property and not be allowed in the park that day. They are still working all of the logistics out.
Not all attractions will be open because of this.
In my personal opinion - this is going to be a test to see what Disney World is able to do and how safely they are able to do it in a phased amount of time. I am hoping that a lot of the regulations will subside as time passes and we will see the World again as we once knew it.
