Top 3 Disney Mom Hacks

Top 3 Disney Mom Hacks

After several trips to Disney, I’ve learned a few hacks you’re not going to want to skip out on for your next trip. From knowing how to save money, to how to keep up with which stroller is yours, we’ve got you covered. If you’ve got a Disney trip coming up with kids, keep reading for the top 3 mom hacks that will save your life (or at least your sanity)!

1) Get a Disney Gift Card for Your Kids Instead of Using Your Credit Card

Instead of dealing with our kids asking for the several hundred things they want, they are each given a Disney gift card. They know that they can only spend what’s on the card and once it’s gone, it’s gone. In order to keep them from spending it all as soon as we walk in the gate we take pictures with the price tag of all the items they have said they wanted throughout the day. Then, at the end of the day we go through the different pictures and decide which things they truly want and which ones fit within their gift card budget. This not only saves you money from several impulse buys on toys, but it also teaches your kids the value of a budget. It can also teach them time management - they will need to save time at the end of the day to go back to the stores they want.

2) Bring a Carabiner for the Little Ones Who Don’t Want to Wear the Magic Band

I can’t tell you how much I wish I would have thought about this before fighting a toddler on keeping the band on. Now, I love to hook the magic band on their shorts or shoes with a carabiner. The magic bands are super important because they have a location tracker inside of them in the event that your kids are like mine and tend to take off the second I look away! The Disney staff is absolutely incredible when it comes to lost kids, and having these magic bands makes it even easier to keep them from getting lost in the first place!

3) Use Luggage Tags on Strollers

I don’t know about you but coming off of a fun ride to a sea of all black strollers can make it easy to walk off with the wrong one! One of the easiest ways to prevent this from happening is to put a bright colored luggage tag on the top handle of your stroller. Not only will it help you be able to locate yours quickly, but it will also hopefully help others not accidentally walk off with yours as well.
