8 Must-Have Items for Disney

8 Must-Have Items for Your Disney Park Bag

Are you seeing a Disney trip in your future but are not sure what to bring in your park bag? We’ve got you covered! Keep reading for our 8 must-have items to bring in your Disney park bag. Some of these may seem a bit odd, but after as many trips to Disney as we‘ve been on, we have learned a thing or two for what to bring.

1) External Phone Charger + Cord

Your phone battery is likely to be running low with having to be on the Disney app, taking pictures, and communicating with your group all day. Bringing an external phone charger is a way to make sure you keep the stress of a dying phone away from you’re already jam packed day of fun!

2) Water Bottle

Whether you’re going in the summer or not, you’re going to want to bring a water bottle. You will be walking around for hours outside and wishing you would have brought one. We suggest bringing an easily identifiable, reusable one. We love this one from Hamagi on Etsy!

3) Band-aids

While blisters and scrapes probably weren’t part of the plan when you were thinking about walking around the most magical place on Earth, the reality is that you never know what’s going to happen. It is always better to have some on hand in case you are not close to a nearby help center.

4) Extra Socks + Poncho

Okay, here’s the one where if you’ve never been to Disney before you may be questioning me. Depending on what park you’re in, there are different water rides available. You’re going to be really glad you brought extra socks and disposable ponchos when you’re nearly soaked afterwards. Plus, Florida at certain times of year can be very rainy. Your magical day will not be so magical if everyone is complaining about being wet.

5) Hand-Held Fans

This one is a must - especially if you’re visiting in the summer. Whether you are going to Disneyland in southern California or Walt Disney World in Florida, it is going to be hot! The last thing you want to do when walking around all day is overheat.

6) Anti-Bacterial Wet Wipes

From sticky hands after eating a Mickey Bar to touching doors that so many others have touched, it is better to keep it as germ-free as possible with some anti-bacterial wet wipes. Just trust us on this one. Hand sanitizer, also a good choice.

7) Click Sharpie Pen + Autograph Book

While Disney does offer autograph books and sharpies on-site, you’re better off saving your dollars for a Dole Whip by purchasing a small notebook from your local dollar store before you go. Our expert tip is to bring a click Sharpie pen. No one wants to run around looking for the missing cap when there’s a ton of people around you trying to get to the next thing.

8) Tylenol + Advil

You do not want the pain of a headache to keep you from fully enjoying the most magical place on earth.

Bonus Item: Gum

Fun fact, in an effort to keep the parks clean, Disney does not sell gum anywhere on site. If you are a gum chewer, you will need to bring your own.
