5 Tips & Tricks From a Frequent Disney Goer
If you have a Disney trip coming up in your future you’re likely searching the internet for everything you need to know to get the most of your trip. Trust me, I have been in that exact spot! Seeing that I’ve been to Disney well over fifty times now, I have learned a thing or two that I wish I would have known before my first trip.
Here are the 5 tips and tricks you need to know from an experienced Disney goer:
Take good walking shoes.
I cannot emphasize this one enough! I know you want cute shoes for all of your pics. My suggestion - just make sure they’re cute walking shoes. You’ll be amazed at the end of the day to read on your phone how many steps you walked. Some of our clients get back to us and say they averaged at almost 10 miles each day!
Have a plan and take advantage of your early morning magics and evenings.
These are chances to get into the park and stay after hours when everyone else isn’t there. There are certain rides available as well as different dining options during these times.
Know if there’s any special ticket events that you might be interested in or that might cut park hours short.
Disney offers several special ticket events throughout the year including my favorites: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Before your trip, be sure to ask your Northcutt Travel Agent if there are any special ticket events happening that you’d want to be a part of, or stay away from.
Take into consideration the parades and firework shows and decide where you want to watch those from in advance.
Disney World has a fireworks show every night so guests can end each day in the most magical way. As you’re running around the park enjoying your day, take note of a good spot for later when you’re ready to watch them! Also ask your agent about dining reservations - some restaurants include special firework show seating! There are also dessert parties that you can buy a ticket for and get unlimited desserts, drinks, and special firework seating.
Don’t try to rush Disney.
While it can be tempting to want to see everything and not miss anything. The truth is, there will always be something you didn’t get to. The beauty in that is that every time you go back, there’s even more to see. Don’t rush the day. Instead enjoy the spots you do get to and make the most of those. You can plan your next trip, but you can’t go back and relive one.
Having been to Disney well over fifty times I can honestly say that the magic never fades. The amount of detail they put into making it the most magical place on Earth is out of this world. Every time I go there’s always something new that makes me remember how there really isn’t anywhere else I’d rather be.
And don’t forget Disney cruises! The Disney magic doesn’t have to end when you exit the parks, you can keep it going on the high seas!
